Creative Arts
In the Creative Arts Department at Family Language School of Egypt, we aim to develop pupils’ sense of self, their interpersonal skills and intra-personal awareness, alongside their ability to apply knowledge, their understanding and practical ability within Music, Drama & Performing Arts and Art & Design.
MUSIC
In Music, we aim to deliver high quality experiences that engage and inspire pupils to develop a love of music and their talent as musicians and so increase their self-confidence, creativity and sense of achievement. Music is a universal language that embodies one of the ultimate avenues of creativity and as pupils progress they should critically engage with music allowing them to compose and listen with discrimination to the best of the musical canon.
Art, craft and design
Art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human expression and in delivering high quality learning experiences, we aim to engage, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art, craft and design. As pupils progress, they should be able to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design. Students are also taught how art and design reflect and shape the country’s history and contribute to the nation’s culture, creativity and wealth.
We encourage all students to act, listen, watch, review, and critically participate in dramatic plays from a variety of historical periods, genres, styles, and traditions, including works by great theater artists and actors. We offer a broad and balanced acting curriculum designed to be assessed. With an emphasis on performance, students have the opportunity to use their voice and body to act, learn to create themselves, grow with others, and reach the next level of excellence.
Art, design
Arts, crafts and design embody the highest forms of human expression and provide a quality learning experience.

As students’ progress, they should be able to think critically and develop a more rigorous understanding of art and design. It also teaches you about your contributions to culture, creativity, and wealth.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
This can range from learning a new language, playing an instrument, attending art classes, to those choosing to participate in physical activities such as soccer, judo, body balance, or swimming.
We hope that all the activities we offer give students the opportunity to make choices and be proud of themselves when learning new things. The benefits of extracurricular activities in school have been extensively researched. , studies have found that students who participate in these activities are more likely to perform better academically, have better relationships in school, and lead healthy and active lifestyles after graduation.
Students also feel more engaged in school and boost their self-esteem when they participate in structured sports, performing arts, and other activities. Additionally, the cross-curricular opportunities we offer ensure a more motivated and engaged student group, resulting in a happier and more cohesive university. Choose carefully which activities you want your child to participate in. Also, remember that your child is committed to participating in these activities each week throughout the school year.CCA runs every Wednesday (example) for 2 to 6 weeks.

Family Language School curriculum is clearly comprehensive and balanced. It perfectly fits the interests and needs of students. Students find the school’s wide range of stimulating experiences and the many extra-curricular clubs, visits and activities exciting and interesting.
At Family Language School, we pride ourselves on the local context, national heritage and identity of Egypt.
All subjects in the curriculum are designed to motivate students to be aspiring learners and seize every opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding. In addition, students are enthusiastic about various learning activities that can effectively develop their skills.
SPORTS FACILITIES
Family Language School offers a wide range of sports and activities that students can participate in during physical education classes, as well as a variety of sports at higher proficiency levels. In class, we focus on bankball, basketball, soccer, track and field, rugby, orienteering and table tennis. We believe that these sports and activities improve both core strength and physical fitness and provide opportunities for students to become highly athletic young people. This year we are well-equipped to offer a variety of sports that students from all over Egypt can compete against other schools. Other schools in soccer, basketball and swimming have competitive teams for boys and girls.
